A
previous spinal chrod injury at T6 or above
sevre heacahe and/ore SPB >160

what should you do first if you idntify autonomic dysrflexia?
A
if distended bladder- enrue catheter is not kinked
manage pain, fratures, burns, labour

what to do if BP remains above 160 and causes have been resolved?
A
GTN 300mg sl no previous admin or GTN 600 mcg sl

what happens if there is an inadequate response and BP remains above 160?
A
repeat inital dose of GTN at 10 minute intervals ntil : symptoms resolve, onset of side effects or BP drops below 160
transport to nearest hospital
