When is forced entry allowed on an auto alarm?
When signs of an emergency are present
Who should be called for entry if available on an auto alarm?
Keyholder
What is the officers responsibility if system must be left out of service or in alarm?
Notify the appropriate on site manager, key holder, or owner and advise them to call their alarm servicing company.
When can an alarm that needs to stay in trouble be turned over to appropriate owner?
When the alarm servicing company is able to respond at the time of the incident.
If the alarm servicing company is unable to respond at the time of alarm what should be done.
The premise shall be placed under fire watch. Form filled out and posted in a conspicuous location. Owner made aware and dispatch notified. Prevention chief notified
What is considered a conspicuous place to post a fire watch?
Front door, entrance, bulletin board, and or door to the FACP room
How long shall a fire watch stay in effect?
Until alarm system can be restored and/or Prevention has approved/inspected the premises and its systems.
