has extensive 1st pass metabolism (good thing in this case)
When taking an ICS what is the concern for children?
Adults?
Post menopausal women?
- impairment of growth
- oral candidiasis (thrush) or opportunistic yeast infection
- Osteoporosis
What are the two combos of ICS and LABA used for moderate persistent asthma
- budesonide/formoterol

Why are LABAs not used alone?
increased risk of death
