employees should receive praise for work well done
employee training needs are identifies
targets of achievement are identified for the future
employees can receive a pay rise
employees can receive a promotion
motivating if positive
Describe the disadvantages of appraisal
employees may receive negative feedback which is demotivating
managers may not have had training on how to conduct an appraisal
employee might have too many weaknesses
some employees see it as a tick box and dont full engage
A positive appraisal may result in employees receiving more responsibility leading to increased stress
