- MOA: neutralize HCl acid, decrease pesin activity, promote healing, decrease inflammation, antagonist to ETOH
no constipation or diarrhea

famtodine (IV/PO), cimetidine (IV/PO), nizatidine (PO)
- MOA: reduce gastric acid by blocking H2 receptor on stomach, promote healing of ulcer
- SE: Genital, CNS, GI

pantoprazole (IV/PO), omeprazole (PO)
- MOA: reduce gastric acid, oral peak effect after several days
- SE: GI, brain, physical, organ

pepsin inhibitor

sucralfate (PO)
- MOA: reacts with gastric acid and forms a paste, adheres to ulcer protecting it
- SE: constipation, hyperglycemia
