IM benzylpenicillin 1200mg*
Treatment of epidiymo-orchitis, unknown organism
Ceftriaxone 500mg IM + oral Doxycycline 100mcg BD 10-14 days*
Impetigo - localised non-bullous: 1st-line
Hydrogen peroxide 1% cream
BD or TDS
5 days (to 7)
Impetigo - widespread
oral flucloxacillin or erythromycin
Impetigo - localised non-bullous: 2nd-line
Fusidic acid 2% TDS 5 days (to 7)
Impetigo - localised non-bullous: 2nd-line + suspect resistance
Topical Mupirocin 2% TDS 5 days (to 7)
Impetigo - non-bullous - widespread:
Decide between:
Topical antibiotic 5 days (fusidic acid/mupirocin)
Oral antibiotic 5 days (flucloxacillin/erythromycin/clarithromycin)
Impetigo - bullous: 1st-line
Flucloxacillin 500mg QDS 5 days
Impetigo - bullous: pen-allergic / 1st-line not suitable
Clarithromycin 500mg BD 5 days

Erythromycin 500mg QDS 5 days
Impetigo - bullous: suspect MRSA
