Indications (4)

A
  • VF or VT cardiac arrest
  • Control of hemodynamically stable VT, polymorphic VT, and wide-complex tachycardia of uncertain origin
  • Refractory PSVTs, atrial tach, and pharmacological cardio version of AF
  • Control rapid ventricular rate due to accessory pathway conduction in preexcited atrial arrhythmias

Dosages/Routes

A
  • VF/VT cardiac arrest: 300 mg IV followed by 10 cc NS flush
  • For pt not in cardiac arrest: 150 mg diluted in 100 mL NS IV over 10 minutes, followed by infusion of 1 mg/min over 6 hours
  • Onset: within minutes
  • Duration: variable
