Q

what is delerium tremens when does it usually set in and mention eveyhring about it

why does it happen

A

caused by withdrawl of alcohol

person is delerious, can include shaking, tremors, tachy, hallucinations

around 2/3 days after going cold turkey

its important to treat as you can do

the reason it happens is because alcohol chronically is a CNS depressant howver when you abruptly stop the reverse effect happens and the cns becomes overly excited hence tremors, agitation , tachy
