Most common is gastroenteritis viral

Bloods fbc, u and e , amylase lipase
Ultrasound to look for gall stones!,,,
Bm- hyperglycaemia indicates severe

Aggressive fluids (third spacing)
Pain relieve
Anti emetics
Analgesia

Gallstones followed by alcohol

A

Deranged, liver function tests is common but
a low albumin and high AST indicate severe pancreatitis
hyperglycaemia
Hypocalcemis

A

Hyper calcium is a cause of pancreatitis, however, hypocalcaemia is a complication of pancreatitis
