Generalized anxiety disorder
Which a person is unexplainably & continually tense & uneasy
Constant worried bout many issues without cause , interfere w functioning
Headaches , stomach aches , irrationality
Panic disorder
An anxiety disorder marked by unpredictable minutes long episodes of intense dread in which a person experiences terror and accompanying chest pain , choking , sweating
Followed by worry over a possible next attack
Phobia
An anxiety disorder marked by a persistent , irrational fear & avoidance of specific object , activity
Social anxiety disorder
Intense fear of social situations leading to avoidance of such
Agoraphobia
Develops Bc of a panic disorder
Fear of being in situations where escape might be difficult
Don’t feel safe
Such as ; public places , crowds , wide open areas
Obsessive compulsive disorder
A disorder characterized by unwanted repetitive thoughts , obsessions or actions
Post traumatic stress disorder
A disorder characterized by haunting memories , nightmares , social withdrawal , jumpy anxiety , numbness of feeling , & insomnia that linger for four weeks or more
Mood disorders
Psychological disorders characterized by emotional extremes
Major depressive disorder
Which a person experience in the absence of drugs or medical conditions , two of more weeks w five or more symptoms at least one of which are ; depressed mood or loss of interest

Mania
A mood disorder marked by a hyperactive , wilding optimistic state
Bipolar disorder
A mood disorder in which a person alternates between hopelessness & lethargy of depression & the over excited state of mania
Rumination
Compulsive fretting overthinking about our problems & their causes
Schizophrenia
A psychological disorder characterized by delusions , hallucinations , disorganized speech , or diminished or inappropriate emotional expression
Psychosis
Which a person loses contact w reality & experiencing irrational ideas & distorted perceptions

Which the symptoms take a somatic ( bodily ) form without apparent physical cause
Conversion disorder
A disorder in which a person experiences very specific genuine physical symptoms for which no physiological basis can be found
Illness anxiety disorder
A disorder in which a person intercepts normal physical sensations as symptoms of a disease
Dissociative disorders
Disorders in which conscious awareness becomes separated from previous memories , thoughts , & feelings
Dissociative identity disorder
A rare dissociative disorder in which a person exhibits two or more distinct & alternating personalities
Anorexia nervosa
A normal weight person diets & becomes under weight
Bulimia nervosa
A person excessive eats , then throws up , excessive exercise or laxative
Binge eating disorder
Binge eating episodes followed by distress , disgust , or guilt but without the compensator purging or fasting that marks bulimia
