DM, protein and fat content of the ewe milk,

A

200 g/kg dry matter, including 80 g milk fat, 60 g milk protein, 50 g lactose,
o 10 g minerals.

Requirement of 1 kg of ewe milk :
 6.0 MJ NEm, 130 g protein,
 4.0 g Ca, 2.5 g P, 2 g NaCl

Requirement of MP: milk protein content (g/kg milk)/0.65
 For l kg milk: 60/0.65 = 92 g MP

 In the case of twins: more milk by 20-80%.

Week 8-9 (14-18 kg body weight)

At Weaning: 35-42 days (body weight: 10-13 kg);
Age of 120-130 days: 28-35 kg BW
supplement
2-3% urea, supplementation of Ca with CaCO3 , Ca:P = 2:1), to meet the demands of high growing rate of these animls
o Daily weight gain: 200-350 g.

40-50 kg of body weight at weaning
Weaning of 3 months of age.
