retrieve the lost blood volume and filter it
What are lymph nodes?
filtration sites
where are lymph nodes found?
neck, armpits, groin
what is the solid phase of a blood tube?
where the RBC are
carries o2 to & from the tissue
Buffy coat
WBC & immunity
plasma layer of blood
mostly water
proteins & electrolytes
why are there multiple entrances for lymph nodes & only one exit?
so it can slow down the process
& allow more time for filtration.
Name the 3 lymph node locations
Cervical Nodes - Neck
Axially Nodes - Armpit
Inguinal Nodes - Groin
What are the 2 groups of the immune system?
- Innate Immune Response
2. Adaptive Immune Response
