  1. Media companies pay the sport/ club/ NGB body for the rights to televise -> e.g. Sky/ TNT buy TV rights from the Premier League for football
  2. Pay per view/ subscription channels sell sport to the viewers -> e.g. Sky / TNT
  3. Sold to commercial companies - breaks in play sold for advertising
  4. Sold to other media companies so they can show the sport on their networks.
