Carl: Ich habe versucht, die Bank zu erreichen aber ich war stundenlang in der Warteschleife.
Carl: I’m trying to get through to the bank but I’ve been on hold for ages.
Diana: Das ist mir letzte Woche auch passiert und als ich endlich durchgekommen bin, war die Person, die ich anrufen wollte, nicht erreichbar.
Diana: This happened to me last week, and then when I finally got through, the person I needed was not available.
Carl: Oh wie ärgerlich! Ich habe nun das Problem, dass mein Akku schwach ist.
Carl: Oh no, how annoying! The problem is I have low battery.
Diana: Gibt es die Möglichkeit, eine Nachricht zu hinterlassen? Vielleicht könnte dann jemand zurückrufen, wenn sie wieder weniger zu tun haben?
Diana: Is there an option to leave a message? Maybe someone could call back when they’re less busy?
Carl: Diese Möglichkeit wurde mir am Anfang gar nicht angeboten, meine ich. Vielleicht sollte ich ihnen einfach eine E-Mail schreiben und sie bitten, mich selbst anzurufen.
Carl: I didn’t get that option at the beginning I don’t think. Maybe I should just send them an email and ask them to call me themselves.
Diana: Da stimme ich dir zu. Aber warum wolltest du sie überhaupt sprechen?
Diana: I agree. What is it that you want to talk to them about anyway?
Carl: Ich habe eine SMS von Ihnen bekommen, dass ich ein neues Sparkonto eröffnen kann.
Carl: I got a text message from them saying that I was eligible to open a new savings account.
Diana: Ach wirklich? Das kann dir vielleicht helfen, Geld für das neue Fahrrad, das du gerne haben möchtest, zu sparen.
Diana: Oh really? That might help you save up for that new bike that you want.
