22. Insulin emergency supply

When can a pharmacist supply prescription medicine in an emergency basis?

Previously been dispenced by nz authorised prescriber
pharmacist is Satisfied about Emergency need
Amount or Quantity for 72 hours supply or minimum pack of special container
It is good practice to determine the meds are clinically appropriate because the period of previous supply was within the last 3 to 6 months.

Inform patient need their Name and address to make the sale same as (pharmacist only medicine)
Inform emergency supply is not subsidised.
