What variable goes on the x-axis?
The independent variable goes on the x-axis.
What variable goes on the y-axis?
The dependent variable goes on the y-axis.
What is the difference between a direct relationship and an indirect relationship on a graph?
For a direct relationship, the independent variable increases at a steady rate alongside the dependent variable, forming a positive rising line. With the indirect relationship, the dependent variable decreases as the independent variable increases, forming a negative line.
