Descriptive writing

A

Describes a situation, place or person so readers may visualize and experience it in their imagination.

Narrative writing

A

Tells a story, usually in a descriptive mode. Fiction such as novels and short stories involving characters setting and plot are typical. May also be used for nonfiction such as biographies and autobiographies.
