Double-Hung window

Casement window
Window type that is wide and set high off the floor, usually has sliding sashes
Ranch or Strip window
Window type that has wide, horizontal sashes that open outward to any angle, can be usually left open when its raining
Awning Window
Window type that is identified by narrow, horizontal strips of glass that open by means of a crank to any desired angle
Jalousie Window
