Why do we need cross-presentation for a CD8+ tumor response in dendritic cell targeting vaccines for cancer? (explain complicated)

Because usually MHC-2 and thus CD4+ helper cells (and not CD8+ cells) get activated for potential pathogens from outside of the body. So cross-presentation is needed for MHC-1 and CD8+ T cell activation.

How do we fix the following problem:
The tumor microenvironment is not good for T cells. So even if we have lots of activated T cells they might not go to and destroy the tumor, because of the bad TME. (Tumor micro environment) Explain complicated.
