What is a wart?
A wart is a growth on the shallow layer of the skin.
Where do warts commonly arise?
Warts arise on the sides of the hands or feet, elbows, knees, scalp.
What do warts resemble?
Warts resemble beans or nodular sinews.
How many warts can appear at a time?
Can appear as a single wart (lesion) or in clusters of 5-10.
How are warts described in terms of tissue strength?
Warts are connected and stronger & firmer than ordinary tissue.
What body condition is usually susceptible to getting warts?

What is the pathogenesis of LR Blood Xu causing warts?
Lack of LR Blood can’t nourish sinews
What are the 2 etiologies of Warts?
External Wind-Heat –> accumulating in Skin
Emotions –> Anger causing LR Fire –> resulting in LR Blood Dryness

How to use moxa for the treatment of warts?
Sterilize
Place small moxa cones directly on wart
Allow moxa to burn down to base, may hear a popping sound
Do this twice per day (AM + PM)
After 2-3 days, remove wart w/ tweezer
