What is a bedsore?
A chronic open sore due to a long period of pressure from lying in bed or sitting in a wheelchair.
Who is mostly affected by bedsores?
People with unconsciousness, hemiplegia, paralysis of lower legs, or patients who are lying in bed for years.
Where do bedsores mostly occur?
On the back, sacrum area, and heels.
What is the initial stage of a bedsore?
It starts with erythema (redness of skin)
What follows erythema in the development of a bedsore?
It forms ulceration that is difficult to heal.
What is the TCM etiology of chronic disease?
