What is scrofula?
Scrofula is a chronic suppurative disease occurring in the neck.
What is the initial size of a scrofula node?
In the initial stage, the node is about the size of a bean, neither red nor painful.
How does a scrofula node change over time?
It gradually enlarges to become a mass, or the nodes develop in patches like pearls.
What is the nature of the pus in scrofula?
The purulent pus is as thin as sputum or mixed with a bad cotton-like substance.
What happens if the wound from scrofula goes downwards or forms a sinus?
It is difficult to heal the wound, and it will form a depressed scar after it is cured.
How does Western medicine classify scrofula?
According to Western medicine, it is similar to tuberculosis lymphadenitis.
