Variscoity means abnormally swollen, twisted, or dilated.
What is a pathological change due to varicosity?
It is a pathological change due to varicosity or blood stasis.
What are the general S/sx of varicose veins?
Cysts start from tendons
Loos like blue-greenish cluster of worms, twisted, bulging veins
Withered skin, dull skin, may be a/c with eczema or leg ulcer
What are the 3 patterns of varicose veins?
LR Qi Stagnation (Qi commands Blood)
LR Fire (thickens blood)
Cold (congeals blood)
All causing Blood Stasis (lack or no flow of Blood)
What pathogenesis creates various veins in the etiology of overstrain, long-standing and pregnancy?
Over strain, long time standing, pregnancy –> blood stagnating in the veins of lower legs –> veins expanding and crossing together –> cyst
What pathogenesis creates various veins in the etiology of overstrain?
Overstrain –> blood overflowing downwards in vessels of
the legs –> invasion of external cold-damp –> veins contracting blood stasis in veins –> cyst (blood stasis)
