Q

What is the etiology + pathogenesis of Prostatic Hyperplasia in the Upper Jiao?

A

Results in Obstruction in BL:

LU regulates water passage and descends the water into BL ( LU empty cold or LU dryness)

Dryness in LU Qi –> not descending –> difficult urine

Empty cold in LU –> Unable to control BL –> Frequent or incontinent urine

Q

What is the etiology + pathogenesis of Prostatic Hyperplasia in the Middle Jiao?

A

Damp-Heat Blocking BL:
SP & ST deficiency –> failure of T+T –> damp-heat –> flowing downwards –> blocking BL –> difficult urination

Unable to Control BL:
SP & ST deficiency –> Qi sinking –> failure of controlling BL –> enuresis + incontinent urine

Q

What is the etiology + pathogenesis of Prostatic Hyperplasia in the Lower Jiao?

A

Consumption or Fluid or Not Transforming Fluid:
Aging –> Ki Qi Xu –> Imbalance of Yin & Yang
-KD Yin deficiency –> unsmooth flow of urine, scanty but frequent
-KD Yang deficiency –> profuse, frequent urine, enuresis, incontinent urine

Blocking BL:
Aging, improper diet, overstrain –> blood stagnation in BL –> blocking ureter –> difficulty in urine
