Cerebral Cortex
A
Outer layer of the brain and divided into 2 hemispheres and 4 lobes

4 Main Lobes of the Cerebral Cortex
A
Frontal Lobe, Parietal Lobe, Occipital Lobe and Temporal Lobe

Corpus Callosum
A
Bundle of nerves located between the 2 hemispheres - enables communication between hemispheres

Frontal Lobe
A
Largest lobe and located behind the forehead. Responsible for:
- > Higher order thinking - thinking, planning, reasoning
- > Personality
- > Voluntary Movement

Parietal Lobe
A
Located behind Frontal Lobe. Responsible for:
- > Receiving & Processing sensation
- > (Touch, Temperature, Pressure)
- > Spatial Awareness

Occipital Lobe
A
Located at the back of the cerebral cortex. Responsible for:
- > Receiving & processing visual information
- > Integrating vision with other lobes

Temporal Lobe
A
Located below temples and above ears. Responsible for:
- > Receiving and processing auditory information
- > Language Comprehension
- > Facial Recognition & Memory
