• Japanese Knotweed 2022, providing a decision tree with management.
• Fire Safety Act 2021 (in play 16 May 2022) - Means a responsible person carries out FRA. For multi-occupied residency. Fire Authority can enforce now.
• Environment Act 2021 - Legal framework to improve environment including waste, air, efficiency, nature & bio-diversity.
• Building Safety Act 2022 - changes design, build and manage properties over 18m. Increasing Principal Designer Scope to complete the ‘golden thread’ which shows information to show compliance with Building Regulations.
• AML Sanctions - Sanctions in relation to Ukraine

Can you provide an update on RICS Bichard Review and thoughts?

Answer 2

Makes recommendations on the purpose and governing structure looking at the values, culture and strategy.

I will not be able to comment on such thing until the report is released with a personal opinion.

• Rising energy prices & higher inflation due to Ukraine
• Current finance and build costs increasing.
• Current inflation rate 9%.
• 5-7% BCIS increase rates on TPI’s.
