The canine kidney
Unilobulated, smooth surface Margo lateralis Extremitas cranialis Extremitas caudalis Renal hilus Renal a + v Uther Renal pelvis Renal medula Renal cortex Renal calyx Renal pyramides
Blood supply kidney
A.renalis -> A.abdominalis
- from.the arcuate veins the.blood passes through the vv.interlobularis and vv renales into vena cava caudales
Urether
Conducts urine from the renal pelvis to bladder
- Pars abdominalis: On psoas m. passes large terminal branch of aorta and caudal vena cava
- Pars pelvina - Enters genital fold/broad lig.
♂Crosses dorsal surface of ductus deferenc
♀Crosses the a.uterina
Ductus deferens
Continuation of the duct of epididymis
Conect epidydimis with pelvic part of the urethra
- Continious with the testicular vessels and nerves after passing the head of epididydimis and formes the spermatic chord -° Funiculus spermaticus
Blood supply urether
A.renalis - r.ureterucus
A.vaginalis/a.prostatica - r.uretericus
A. Umbilicalis (from abd.aorta) - R.uretericus
Bloodsupply bladder
A.umbilicalis -> A.vesicae cranialis
A.epigastrica caudalis/a.prostatica - a vesicae caudalis (to cervix) - main blood supply
Blood supply Utethra
A.vaginalis/a.prostatica -> r.urethralis
A.pudenda interna -> a.urethralis
A.vesicalis caudalis
Prostate gland
+ blood supply
Fused with pelvic urethra
Divided into right and left lobe
Surrounds urethra

(A.ductus deferentes)
(R.urethralis)
