M.Sartorius (cran et caud)
O: Crista iliaca, cranio-ventral spina iliaca, Thoracolumbar facia
I:
Cranial: Above stifle joint
Caudal: Belowe stifle joint
A: Flexes hip, Ext/flex stifle depending on part
M.Vastus medialis
(M.Quadriceps femoris (4 muscle bellies))
O: Proximal on femur, from its cranio-medial surf
I: Patella (Lig.patellae on Tuberosity tibiae)
A: Strongest extensors of stifle joint: (m.rectus.femoris also flexes hip)
M.Pectineus
O: Pecten ossis pubis, prepubic tendon
I: Labium mediale ossis femoris, next to facies aspera
A: Adduction of tigh
M.Gracilis
O: Symphysis pelvina
I: medially on crista tibiae, fascia cruris, tuber calcanei by.an accesory tendon to common calcanei tendon.
A: Adducts hindlimb, ext hip, flex stifle, ext tarsus
M.Adductor
O:
Longus - Ramus cranialis ossis pubis, symphisis pelvina, ramus caudalis ossis pubis, Ramus ossis ishi
Brevis - symphisis pelvina, ramus caudalis ossis pubis, Ramus ossis ishisymphisis pelvina, ramus caudalis ossis pubis, Ramus ossis ishi
I: Facies aspera + Labium femoris lat et med
A: Adducts hindlimb, extends hip
M.Semimembranosus
O: Ventral aspect of tuber ishiadicum
I:
Cranial belly - Distaly on medial lip + condyle of femur
Caudal belly - Medial condyle of tibia, behind medial collateral ligament
A: Extends hip, flexes stifle
Lymphnode
Ln. popliteus
- Sutuated caudal to the stifle joint in the popliteal region of the hindlimb
Veins of the Hindlimb
V.femoralis
V.saphena
- lateral saphenoys vein
caudal branch - plantar common dig. vein
cranial branch - dorsal common dig. vein
- Medial saphenous vein
caudal branch - plantar common dig. vein
