Cassette - 18x24 horizontal divided into thirds
Positioning - pt sitting with no knees under table, hand on 1/3 the cassette and lead sheet on the rest.
internally rotate arm on thumbnail is against the cassette.
If they cannot rotate then do a lateral with a sponge to incrase OID
Stabilization - elbow on the table with arm as flat as possibl
Shielding - Gonad shielding/lead apron
Instructions - forearm pronated with palm flat on image, fingers separated
SID - 100cm
Central Ray - centred on 1st MCP joint
Tube Tilt - 0
Collimation - M-L, all soft tissue of the thumb. S-I, must include all of thumb and trapizum lengthwise

Marker Placement - lateral to the anatomy
