It consists of the brain , the spinal cored and the nerves

It means detecting and responding to a stimulus
What is the function of the sensory nerves ?
The sensory nerves carry messages to the brain
What is the function of the motor nerves ?
The motor nerves carry messages away from the brain
Where do sensory nerves send messages from and to?
A sensory nerve sends a message from a sensory organ to the brain
Where do motor nerves send messages from and to ?
A motor nerve sends a message from the brain to the muscle
What is the function of the lens?
The lens focuses light on the retina
What is the function of the iris?
The iris controls the amount of light entering the eye
What is the function of the retina ?
It contains the light sensitive cells
What is the function of the optic nerve?
It carries messages back to the brain
What is the function of the cornea ?
Light rays entering the eye are bent inwards by the cornea
What is the function of the ciliary muscle
It changes the shape of the lens during focusing .
A boy sees a large dog coming towards him and decides to run away . Explain how his eyes , sensory nerves , brain , motor nerves and muscles played a part in this action
When the sense organ , the eyes. Received the stimulus it sent the message along a sensory nerve to the brain . The brain decided that the boy should run and then it send that message along a motor nerve to the leg muscle that will carry out the response of running very fast
