What is a key ?
A key is a set of simple questions used to identify an animal or plant
What are reptiles and give examples
They have dry , scaly skin and lay eggs on land examples are crocodiles , lizards , snakes and turtles
What are fish and give examples
These all have scales on their skin and have gills , allowing them to breathe under water examples are salmon , cod , sharks
What are mammals and give examples
These have fur or hair and the mothers feed their young with milk eg dogs , humans , bats and whales
What are birds and give examples
These have feathers and toothless beaks examples are pigeons , sparrows and ostriches
What are amphibians ?
These have moist skin and can live in water or on land examples are frogs , toads and newts
How can plants be identified ?
They are identified by their shapes , leaves and flowers
