Did Jesus exist?
No doubt that he existed, mentioned by Roman historians suetonius (c.AD 69-122), Tacitus (c.AD 56-117) and the Jewish scholar Josephus.

What is the Hypostatic union?
combination of human and divine nature in single person of Christ.
What is the problem with the hypostatic union?
To save the world from sin, would HAVE to be divine because only God has those redemption powers.
So if Jesus is divine, surely he shouldn’t feel pain. Divine don’t have the capacity to suffer. So Jesus will not have died on the cross, crucifixion is meaningless.
What did Paul say about human nature?
Humans have a sinful and corruptive nature (Romans 7:18-19). Jesus would be corrupted, cannot be divine.
