Summary:
A
Telemachus goes to the palace, Penelope and eurycleia welcome him back and theoclymenus declares Odysseus is in Ithaca. Telemachus tells Penelope of his journey and Odysseus and eumaeus set out for the palace too. They are insulted by the goatherd melanthios. Odysseus recognises Argos- his dog.
He enters the palace and begs for food, antinous throws a stool at Odysseus and eumaeus tells Penelope that the stranger has seen Odysseus. Penelope wishes to see Odysseus
