The Forearm - muscles Flashcards

1
Q

brachioradialis (posterior / radial group)

A

Ridge superior to lat. epicondyle on the humerus , lateral inter muscular septum to base of styloid process of radius
Inn ; Radial nerve (C05, C06)
Action ; elbow flexor
NB> Causes supination
Flexes elbow when arm is in pronation “reverse grip curls”. When elbow is pronated, the biceps brachii is NOT the flexor.
