What are the different parts of the eye?
The sclera, retina, optic nerve, suspensory ligaments, lens, pupil, cornea and ciliary muscles.
What is the sclera?
The white bit of the eye.
What is the retina?
The place where the image is focused
What is the optic nerve?
The nerve that send messages to the brain from the eye.
What are the ciliary muscles?
The muscles that change the shape of the lens.
What is the cornea?
The protective covering of the eye.
What is the pupil?
The part of the eye that lets light in.
What are the lens?
The part of the eye that is responsible for focus.
What are the suspensory ligaments?
The part of the eye that hold the lens in place.
Why are some people short sighted?
The image focuses before the retina which results in you not being able to see distant objects( it’s supposed to focus on the retina. )
Why are some people long-sighted?
The image focuses behind the retina ( it’s supposed to focus on the retina. ) This results in you not being able to see close objects.
How do you correct short-sightedness?
Through diverging lens
How do you correct long-sightedness?
Through converging lens.
