Telephone encounters should only be closed when all
documentation and follow-up is complete. The last person to access the telephone encounter and complete the final
follow-up or documentation should sign the encounter.

A

When you are the last person to complete documentation. If any
follow-up is needed, by yourself or another individual, close the
encounter without signing to keep the encounter open for later.
