The Bani Israel attained blessing from the tabut e Sakina which contained the relics of Hazrat Musa and Haroon. This story in mentioned in chapter 2 of the Quran.
It is mentioned in surah Yusuf that Hazrat Yaqoobs eyesight was restored through the shirt of Hazrat Yusuf.
Countless Hadith tell of how the companions gained blessings from the hair, shawl, drinking bowl etc of the Holy Prophet.
Can holy relics be placed in the grave?
Yes. It will cause reward. The shirt of the Prophet Muhammad was placed under the shroud of Hazrat Ameer Mu’awiyah.
What is an incident regarding relics in the grave?
It is narrated in a Hadith that a women bought a shawl in the court of the Holy Prophet. The companions accepted the shawl.
