Symptoms of chlamydia in women
Abnormal charge with odor, bleeding between periods, painful period, itching burning

No treatment to cure. But antivirals can prevent or shorten outbreaks

Some dont have symptoms. Men have burning urination and discharge. Women have burning urination and vaginal discharge and bleeding

Firm, round, small and painless sore on genitals, anus or mouth or rash on body
What is syphilis caused by?
Bacterium
How common is syphilis?
CDC estimates annually 55,400 in US
How do you get syphilis?
Direct contact with sores on genitals, vagina, anus, rectum. Pregnant women can pass it to unborn child
How quickly do symptoms appear after infection in syphilis?
Average time 21 days after infection. Range is 10-90 days
Primary stage of syphilis
Appearance of single sore. Can last 3-6 weeks.
Secondary phase of syphilis
Skin rashes and/or sores in mouth, vagina, or anus. Large raised, grey or white lesions may develop in warm moist areas.
Late and latent stage of syphilis
Begins when primary an secondary symptoms disappear. Can last for years. Damages internal organs.

Blood test most common, examine sore.

Antibiotics will cure it but not repair damage done
