A

mitochondrial disorders- higher rate of acute liver failure and liver related deaths

adverse effects of sodium valproate to monitor?

A

liver toxicity: raised enzymes are usually transient but should be reassessed and mointored- for 6 months
blood and hepatic disorders
pancreatitis: seek medical attention if symptoms such as abdo pain, nausea, vomiting
