ADMINISTRATION FOR IV?

A

dilute to 200mcg/ml with glucose 5 or sodium 0.9
if fluid restricted can give undiluted through venous catheter
injection: dilute to 50mcg/ml with glucose 4 or sodium chloride 0.9

A

A

must be informed for the importance of maintaining control of asthma
can be taken as usual

if severe asthma: plasma potassium concentration due to risk of hypokalemia

diabetes: monitor BG ESPECIALLY if given IV
