What is a way of remembering all the skill components of fitness?
ABCPRS
Agility (with sporting example)
The ability to change position and control the body at speed
In gymnastics, side steps
Balance (with sporting example)
Being able to keep the body STABLE whiles at REST or ON THE MOVE
Co-ordination (with sporting example)
The ability to use 2 or more body parts together
Power (with sporting example)
The ability to undertake strength performance quickly ( strength X speed)
Reaction time (with sporting example)
The time it takes for you to respond to a stimulus
Speed (with sporting example)
The rate an individual can cover a distance or perform a movement ( 100 m runner or when side stepping)
Name the 2 types of balance
STATIC: balanced whiles still e.g hand stands
DYNAMIC: balanced whiles on the move e.g hammer throwing
