What is agility?
The ability to change position and control the body at speed.
What is Balance?
Being able to keep stable while at rest or on the move.
Who would need Agility?
A footballer to be able to change positions and make their way around defenders while still controlling the ball.
Who would need balance?
A gymnast needs to maintain difficult positions without falling over.
What are the 2 different types of balance?
Static balance (keeping the body stable while stationary)
Dynamic balance (mainting a controlled stable position while moving)
What is Co-ordination?
The ability to use two or more body parts together.
Who would need Co-ordination?
A tennis playing to remain at motion (moving) with their kegs while using legs and hands to whack the ball.
What is power?
The ability to undertake strength performances quickly. It can be written as a formula: speed x Strength
Who would need power?
A number 8 rugby player. A javelin thrower to throw the spear far witn ridiculous speed.
What is Reaction Time?
The time between a stimulus and a movement in response to it
Who would need reaction time?
A table tennis playing to find which side of the table to ball is going to.
What is speed?
The rate at which an individual can perform a movement or cover a distance.
