Procedure if a PAX boards the wrong flight:
- No.1 informs the CAP and dispatcher
- PAX is identified
- PAX collects their belongings and is escorted back to the terminal
- CC check 3 rows in front and 3 rows behind - All PAX in these rows must identify their luggage
- CC confirm head count is correct
- No.1 informs CAP procedure is complete
Baggage identification/reconciliation procedure:
- Ground staff will remove bags from the hold and place them on the ramp
- When instructed by CAP, No.1 will ask the last 3 rows to disembark, identify their bags, and re-enter
- Once these PAX have boarded, the No.1 will ask the next 3 rows to follow this procedure
- Process continues until all PAX will checked in baggage have identified their luggage
- No.1 informs the CAP procedure is complete
Who may be granted access to the FD jumpseats?
- Regulatory inspectors
- Ryanair personnel
If the kill switch is INOP, how do we used the FD door?
Using the deadbolt:
- Flight crew will remove the key from the tech log book and pass it to the No.1
FD emergency access panel procedure for emergency or FD incap:
- Attempt to contact FD via all interphones
- If there is no response the No.1 will enter the emergency access code + ENT (amber light will illuminate)
- If correct code is entered the FD will be alerted
- Flight crew will deny access to the FD and establish communication via interphone
- If the flight crew does not deny access the door will unlock after 30 seconds and remain unlocked for 5 seconds
When must a security search be completed?
- When the a/c arrives from a 3rd world country
- When the a/c arrives from outside CPSRA
- If unauthorised persons have had access to the a/c
What are the 3 bomb threat levels?
Red
Amber
Green
What is described as a red bomb threat?
Specific warning - identification of a specific target or the caller has positively identified themselves/organisation, judged credible
What is described as a amber bomb threat?
Warning can be related to one or more targets, doubt about its credibility and effectiveness of existing countermeasures
What is described as a green bomb threat?
Warning may not identity a target/targets, lacks credibility
If a credible threat is received when on the ground taxiing:
- No.1 picks up interphone: “Cabin to flight deck, No.1 standing by.”
- No.2 picks up interphone: “Cabin to flight deck, No.2 standing by.” All aircrew briefed on NITS
- CAP will taxi a/c to instructed area by ATC
- CAP will make PA
- On CAP’s command, disembark PAX - steps used where possible
- CC check assigned areas for PAX, aircrew will then disembark and await further instructions
Written warning received in cabin during flight:
- No.1 will call FD and confirm:
a) If anything was found during security check prior to boarding
b) If anything was found on-board during the flight - A photo of the written threat shall be taken on the VPOS
- The message should be placed in a sick bag + avoid touching
- CAP will confirm further course of action
Verbal warning received in cabin during flight:
- No.1 will call FD and confirm:
a) Is the PAX threatening the safety of the a/c, CC or PAX?
b) Does the PAX claim to have a weapon or device?
c) Does the PAX appear credible, give plausible info or make specific demands?
d) Has the PAX been previously non-disruptive during the flight?
e) Does the PAX appear to be under the influence?
Threat notification from ATC during the flight:
- No.1 picks up interphone: “Cabin to flight deck, No.1 standing by.”
- All crew briefed on NITS
- CAP will make PA
- CC await further instructions
