1 cm lateral to midline (bilateral) 3 cm in length
Location of Vision Area?
1 cm lateral to external protuberance parallel to midline, 4 cm in length and extending inferior
Location of Balance Area?
3 cm lateral to external protuberance parallel to midline, 4 cm in length and extending inferior
Indications of Leg Motor & Sensory Area
Paralysis, use w/ reproductive area for prolapse of uterus, nocturnal urination, pain or numbness of lower limbs, or acute low-back sprain
Indications of Vision Area
Cortical blindness
Indications of Balance Area
Losing balance d/t cerebellar disorders
Indications of Voluntary Movement Area
Apraxia (nerve injury, unable to carry out determined movement despite normal muscle power & coordination), fibromyalgia, facial paralysis
Indications of Speech 2 Area
Nominal aphasia
Indications of Speech 1
Motor aphasia, dribbling saliva, impaired speech
Indications of Speech 2
Nominal aphasia (can’t recall words)
