What is ergonomics

A

Process of designing products to fit the ppl who use them. Improves human interaction w a product, minimises risk of injury.
Eg. Many ppl sit at desks for long. If height of computer, chair, desk are not correctly aligned to user, can cause pain & repetitive strain injury. Designers will consider measurements of humans

Anthropometric data

A

The study of the human body, its measurements & proportions.
Data collected from large sample of ppl of variety of sizes to gather detailed body measurements.
Weight measurements also taken to understand stress of load a component may need to withstand
