Recycle
Rethink
Consider design & its impact. Is there a better way to produce it
Refuse
Avoid using mats that are env or socially unacceptable. Dont buy product if you dont need it
Reduce
Make products durable & long-lasting, reducing consumption & waste
Reuse
Product may be used again by another or for another purpose
Repair
Repair where possible rather than replace
Recycle
Take product apart & convert parts into usable mats once again
Why are six r’s in the order they are in
Order of precedence. It is better to rethink & refue to use a product at all as it saves having to consider any of the points (r’s) after. Recycling is the last chance to retrieve some value from mats used in product

Switch from diesel & petrol to electric vehicles
Renewable energy sources
2 types of ocean pollution
Chemicals
Marine debris
Reducing oceanic pollution
Use plastic free alternatives (avoid single use plastic bags, straws)
Reduce carbon footprint (gg’s makes oceans more acidic)
