– Asthmatics have elevated risk for sulphite sensitivity
– People with salicylate (Aspirin) sensitivity have an elevated risk for sulphite sensitivity
PURPOSE OF A PRESERVATIVE FREE DOET
– Reaction to sulphites due to sensitivity rather than an allergy.
NOTES FOR IMPLEMENTING A PRESERVATIVE-FREE DIET
– Read labels
– Preferable to use fresh food products

LIST FOODS THAT CONTAIN SULPHATE
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beer and cider.
Bottles lemon and lime juices and concentrates.
Canned and frozen fruit and vegetables.
Cereal, cornmeal, cornstarch, crackers and muesli.
Condiments, Coleslaw, horseradish, ketchup, mustard, pickles, relish and sauerkraut.
Dehydrated, mashed, peeled, pre-cut potatoes and frozen French fries
DISCUSS NONE-FOOD PRODUCTS THAT MAY CONTAIN SULPHATE
Important to mention that bottle-sanitizing solutions for home brewing and cellophane are considered non-food sources of sulphites.
