WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE KETOGENIC DIET
– Prophylactic treatment of some types of epilepsy in children
– Induce and maintain ketosis to achieve an anticonvulsant effect
– MCT more ketogenic than other fats
– MCT oil makes the diet more palatable

– Control of epilepsy

– Diabetes

– 3-4 servings of MCT oil, preferable with bedtime feeding
