A

To have reached the transplant with a healthy mouth even if it means extraction and losing teeth to prevent issues of infection in response to immunosuppressive treatment.

Can periodontal charting and therapy be undertaken in patients with renal transplants? What about third molars?

A

Yes, as long as there is no bacteraemia it’s fine.

With third molars, extraction is a good idea.
