What are horizontal strokes used for?
Horizontal strokes are used to remove deposits from root concavities and depressions
Vertical strokes are not as effective because working-end often “spans across the root concavity missing the deposit

If the G13 is used for vertical strokes use the G14 for horizontal strokes

Same working end is used for both vertical and horizontal strokes.
